FAQ
About Server:
1)The server software is free? What are the system requirements to use this software?
Yes, it is free of charge.
For server setup, you need to buy a static IP adress from your local network provider, and then the computer should be with good performance (HDD capacity should be above 500GB, Memory above 4G, CPU above 2G, with dual core, Network interface should be 100 Mega or 1000 mega.
2)What Operating system needs to be used? Windows 7 or 8 or Windows server? Can the WIFI auto download software be placed on the same system?
RE: yes, you could use windows system, 7 or 8 are both okay. Also the wifi auto download software are with the same system. In fact, our current software are all based on windows system.(only Clients is with android system&IOS&windows)
3)When we start using your server and after some time we build our own, can the IP address in the units be changed remote or do we do this by wire?
If you build your own server, then you could change the DVR local settings by manual. After you used your own server, then you could run the server TOOl software, then you could remotely change the settings of your vehicles, this is no problem.
About Connections:
1)How to connect DVR to computer by RJ45 interface net ?
The default RJ45 IP adress of our DVR is :192.168.0.192. a.After turn-on the DVR(HDD should be locked), connect DVR to your computer by net cable through RJ45 port.
b.Set the computer's local IP adress network section the same as this DVR(192.168.0.192) , for example the local IP of computer will be set as 192.168.0.1
c.Open IE by inputting 192.168.0.192,enter, then you will see DVR's login window, please login by account as below:
User:admin password:888888
d.then you could do settings based on manuals we sent.
2)Harddisk installation:
a.Install harddisk based on our HDD install diagram and lock it.
b.After locking, please do formatting for the HDD by DVR(not by computer)
c.If HDD can not be read, please use USB cable to connect DVR to your computer, then check if your computer could read the HDD, if not, then HDD is broken.。
d.After formatting, the HD-Lamp will be bright, it means the HDD is readable. Please press "INFO" button on remote control to check the HDD's contents.
3)About SMS sending function:
To realize such function, the customer need to do below:
a.Set up a server
b.Buy a GSM Module to work with the server.
When you need to send SMS to specified person, you could set the numbers and rules by your server software. And no matter how many vehicles worked with the server, all of the vehicles could use this GSM module to send SMS, it is easy and more economic.
4)MDVR – how we see it working:
a.When ignition is turn ON start recording.
RE: Yes, there are 3 mode for Record Setup, 1st is ACC type, it means once the ACC is on, the device will start to record. 2nd is Timed type, it means you will need to make a time schedule firstly, then the device will work by your schedule. 3rd is Alarm Record type, it means the device will only start to work when there is alarm.
5)If crash id detected then send 15 seconds before event and 30 second after event over 3G and an alert to customer email / SMS.
RE: In fact, the device can only record the video 15S before alarm happens, but the alert SMS/email will be only sent to the users when the alarm happens.(can not be sent 15s before alarm)
6)If speeding occurs then send 15 seconds before event and 30 second after event over 3G and an alert to customer email / SMS.
Re: Yes, the device will record all the videos 15s before and 30s after event, but the alert SMS/email will be only sent to the users when the alarm happens.
7)When ignition is turned off record for another 15 minutes then power off. Re: Yes, our device supports Delay off by 3min~240mins, so 15 min is no problem.
